JPSC Rank 124 Holder Saket Kumar Tiwari Inspires Students at IBS Career Guidance Seminar in Garhwa

The students, their parents, and the faculty participated in a Career Guidance Seminar & Felicitation Program conducted by IBS in Garhwa. The objective of the program was to guide the students to write competitive exams through exposure to reality, study discipline, and correct decision-making concerning academic studies and career choices. Practical advice for the students for exam preparation and career options was made possible due to interaction with successful people.

Mr. Saket Kumar Tiwari attended the programme as the Chief Guest. Mr. Tiwari got Rank 124 in JPSC 2023 Exam and is chosen for Jharkhand Education Service (Class-II). His participation in the seminar brought much enthusiasm amongst the students since most of them considered this interaction as direct guidance from one who has recently qualified in a highly competitive exam.

Welcoming the participants, the organisers stated that career guidance is more than choosing any profession. It was noticed that students need proper guidance for examination strategy and study plan too. The organisers arranged this seminar with this purpose in view.

During his keynote speech, Mr. Saket Kumar Tiwari mentioned that success comes with the combination of consistent hard work, patience, and constant improvement of oneself and does not come from one's ability alone. He asked the students to stop comparing themselves with others and work upon improving themselves each day. As per his opinion, consistent hard work is very crucial in building up confidence and helping them form a base for success in competitive exams.

Sharing his educational career details, Mr. Tiwari informed the audience that he had completed his class 10th from Shanti Niwas and 12th from ABPS, Rehla. He further informed that he had pursued his graduation from the University of Allahabad where he had studied B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics. After that, he had completed M.Sc. in Mathematics from the same university. In connection with those times, he shared his views that each step of his education helped him in developing his analytical abilities, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities, which helped him in competitive exam preparation in future.

With regard to preparation for civil services, Mr. Tiwari observed that the ability to achieve success does not merely depend on learning but also on forming habits of discipline in studying. He advised the students to concentrate on gaining knowledge of concepts rather than learning facts without knowing their practical application. According to him, an effective academic background is essential for preparing for competitive exams.

Time management was yet another crucial area covered by him in the lecture. According to him, the students needed to make practical schedules, which would help them study in a consistent manner and not go for impractical ones. He noted that consistent and concentrated study over a considerable duration usually proves more fruitful than intensive study over shorter intervals. Apart from this, he advised the students to be honest about their mistakes and use them constructively.

Moreover, Mr. Tiwari stressed the need to have a positive mindset while preparing for the exams. It is because these competitive exams test not only the academic skills of the candidates but also their emotional strength, patience, and confidence levels. Therefore, it is necessary for them to stick to their goals even in the absence of quick results as sometimes success comes only after putting in hard work over a certain duration.

After his speech, a question and answer session was held wherein the students got a chance to ask their queries regarding exam techniques, subject choices, revision tips, and motivation for prolonged periods of preparation. To the queries asked, Mr. Tiwari suggested that they start their preparation by first understanding the pattern and syllabus of the exam before making any decisions about study material or timetable.

He motivated the participants to take up the habit of regular reading, especially for those appearing in the exams where knowledge of current affairs, general awareness, and analytical reasoning would be needed. In his opinion, reading beyond books widens perspectives and helps students think critically and form an informed understanding of subjects and related issues.

The discussion ended with the students thanking the speaker for the practical tips that they had been able to learn. Most of them found the discussion session to be quite informative since it taught them ways to prepare themselves realistically, discipline their learning process, and put in efforts.

Another equally important aspect of the programme was the Felicitation Ceremony, which was arranged to appreciate academic excellence and motivate the students who had worked hard to succeed in academics. Mr. Kamalkant Mahto was felicitated in the programme for clearing the IIT JAM examination, which is considered very prestigious.

It was stated by the speakers that celebrating the academic success of a student would not only help in acknowledging their success but would also act as an inspiration for other students to raise the bar and strive for the same. It was pointed out that stories of success from the real world have more impact on young minds than mere words of wisdom. The programme was attended by Mr. Bimal Ram, Mr. Amarendra Pal, faculty members, parents, and several other students.

While addressing the participants, Mr. Ritesh Dwivedi, Director of Ikayi Brahmshala, thanked the Chief Guest, respected guests, teachers, parents, and students for their valuable presence. He said that interacting with successful candidates offers valuable practical exposure to students apart from the theoretical exposure gained through books and allows them to know about the realities of competitive exams through people who have already traveled the same path.

He further added that educational seminars offer an opportunity to students where they can get their doubts cleared and know how they can prepare effectively from the achievers. Such an interaction encourages students to follow disciplined study methods, plan well, and gain confidence towards achieving long-term academic objectives.

The seminar programme ended with a vote of thanks during which organisers thanked the Chief Guest, invited guests, teachers, parents, volunteers, and students for their participation in conducting the event successfully. Special thanks were given to Mr. Saket Kumar Tiwari for sharing his valuable experience and guidance.

Students felt that the interaction made them realize the significance of conceptual learning, continuous revision, time management, and patience during the preparation period. The realistic approach to practical ways of study was another significant feature of the seminar appreciated by parents and teachers.

One of the important ideas that emerged from the seminar was that success in competitive exams is possible only through consistent efforts, clear aims, preparation, and continued learning even after failures. Sharing his personal experience, Mr. Tiwari emphasized that failures are a part of any competitive race and should be treated as opportunities for improving one’s performance.

This programme highlighted the importance of acknowledging the successes of students in academic institutions. Acknowledging successful people such as Mr. Kamalkant Mahto becomes an example for motivating others to move towards success.

Overall, the Career Guidance Seminar & Felicitation Ceremony arranged by Ikayi Brahmshala (IBS) was an informative session where students could get direct information regarding how to prepare for competitive exams and meet successful people in order to realize the importance of discipline, consistency, and planning when choosing a career path.

The seminar ended on a good note, and the participants wished for more educational sessions to be held in order to assist students in using the experience of successful people in making decisions about their education and career. Such kinds of activities help the youth in gaining knowledge along with the motivation to work hard in order to become better every day.
